Viva Home Builders!

Last week the International Builder Show brought in thousands of domestic and international builders to the Las Vegas Convention Center, as it showcased the latest technology in the Home Building industry.  

 

HBAGC would like to congratulate past HBAGC President Marsha Elliot for running an outstanding campaign for NAHB Third Vice Chairman.  Although Marsha conceded to Barry Rutenberg of Florida, we are all proud of her hard work on the campaign trail, and years of service to the industry. 

 

2009 Midwest Builders Show Postponed

After much discussion, the MBS Steering Committee has decided to postpone the 2009 Midwest Builders Show until March 2010.  The committee reached this decision after careful consideration of its ability to host a premier event with benefits to not only the attendees, but to the vendors and speakers themselves.  HBAGC is committed to providing quality events that are educational and profitable for our builders and associates.  As we look towards the 2010 MBS, HBAGC will be looking to rebuild the show to reach a broader market.  Stay tuned for more information.

 

Building America’s Dream Articles Needed

As we mentioned last week, HBAGC is looking for members editorials to include in it March edition of Building America’s Dream.  If you have any questions pertaining to the association or industry as a whole, please submit them to Kurt by February 5th.  Each month we will include member comments and have address your questions. 

 

Bonded Builders Announce “Spirit of Membership Award”

Bonded Builders Warranty Group will award a $35 gas gift card to members of HBAGC who bring in their first ever new member.  Bonded Builders is looking for rookie recruiters who have not previously participated in membership drives to help HBAGC broaden its membership base.  Recruiters can recruit builders, associates or affiliates.  The promotion runs from February through March 2009. 

 

2009 House and Home Tour Looking for Builder Entries

If you are interested in participating in the 2009 House and Home Tour, please contact Rita to reserve your spot on the tour.  Entries must be an unoccupied new home, sales center or remodeled home, completed on April 27, 2009 in order for the judging to take place.
