HBAGC: Providing Quality and Value

Last Friday, when I was sworn into office as the 2009 HBAGC President, I spoke about the need to return this great organization to its roots.  In order to remain relevant to our members and associates, we need to refocus our association to just the basics of governmental affairs and education.  Changing direction, it isn’t always an easy task.  Leaving behind the status quo rarely is.  Given the state of our economy, we find ourselves having to take a hard look at whom we are serving and what services we need to provide to our members and our industry; more importantly, what do we need to change in order to survive.  This week we took steps in our ongoing effort to decrease costs.  Over the coming months we will continue to provide the services our members consider important, while reviewing every potential expense to determine its relevance towards providing our members the quality and value they expect.

I wish to personally thank our remaining staff for excepting the challenges ahead; and, our volunteers and our partners for their continued support as we continue together to navigate these uncharted waters. Rest assured that HBAGC will continue to adapt to whatever this economy throws at us. Our mission is clear. With your continued support and participation, HBAGC will persevere and come out stronger than ever as our home building market returns.

My first presidential request of all is not to fall into the rumor trap.  Please call Kurt Kojzarek or Rita Unzner at 630-627-7575 if you have any questions.
