January is the traditional time of year when we recognize an opportunity in our lives to make some needed changes. On January 1st, millions of Americans began embarking on their quests to fulfill their new years resolutions. How fitting, then, that incoming president Alan D. Lev has chosen "Embrace Change" as his theme for the 2008 Inaugural Ball. Each year we come together to celebrate the achievements of HBAGC, to thank and recognize our volunteer leadership, and welcome those who will direct us through another year. This year we take time to visit what we can do to embrace our current challenges and make the changes we need to to ensure our members receive the highest value from their membership.
The Inaugural Ball is an opportunity to show our solidarity and our strength. We look forward to installing our 2008 Regional, Chapter and Council Officers on January 19, 2008 at the Westin North Shore Hotel in Wheeling. Regional officers to be installed are: President: Alan Lev, Belgravia; Senior Vice President: Dan Ungerleider, Cambridge; Vice President: Christopher Coleman, Dearborn Buckingham Group; and Secretary/Treasurer: Sarah E. Shepard, Plante & Moran. A schedule of the evening's events (including listening to the musical stylings of the Gentlemen of Leisure Band) can be found on our website along with registration information and sponsorship opportunities. For special room rates or further information, contact Andrea Brady at 630-627-7575 x203. We look forward to seeing all of you at this event!
