The Lake and McHenry County Chapters invite you to a joint Annual Texas Hold-‘Em golf outing at White Deer Run in Vernon Hills on August 7th.  Break out your clubs and join them at this scramble format outing.  Registration starts at 10:30 a.m.; shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.  Games will include lowest score gross, lowest score net, long drive, closest to pin and straightest drive.  Register now or contact Rita Unzner for more information.

Registration is now open for HomeAid's Fairway to Haven, annual golf outing on August 25th at Lakewood Golf Course, Lake Geneva. Lakewood is a privately owned 18-hole course, professionally designed and meticulously maintained.  Registration & lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.  Limited to 30 players. Information will be going out soon on planning for the 2009 Lake County Tour of Homes, McHenry County Medley of Homes and Remodel Chicagoland Tour.  We need to know who is planning to participate so we can plan the events accordingly.  Look for a letter from the respective Chapter and Council Presidents later this week. 

It is our pleasure to remind you of the 2008 request for nominations for the Community Vision Awards. This is the 5th year that ULI Chicago, Metropolitan Planning Council, Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, and Metropolitan Mayors Caucus are co-sponsoring these visionary awards recognizing excellence in applying sound land use principles and demonstrating best practices within the Chicago region.  We encourage you to submit a nomination for consideration.
