The HBAGC Regional Board of Directors on May 21 approved a motion to “officially adopt and begin implementing, as a voluntary program, the NAHB National Green Building Program, based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines in its entirety as delineated on www.nahbgreen.org and supported by the HBAGC Green Building Program and the NAHB Green Building Program for State & Local Home Builder Associations outlined on www.nahb.org/greentoolkit with full support from all available HBAGC operations and resources.”  The next meeting of the HBAGC Green Building Committee to discuss its next steps will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, June 3 at HBAGC.  All HBAGC members are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

Join the HBAGC Remodelers and Custom Builders Council for a Lunch and Learn at Joliet Cabinet Company on Wednesday June 11th at 10 a.m.  Tour the factory and listen to guest speakers Rich and Dawn from WIND 560 AM’s Your House Chicago.  This is a FREE event!  Please RSVP today or contact Rita Unzner for more information. 

The City of Chicago Chapter will host its annual golf outing on June 17th at Harborside.  Registration begins at 11 am with a shotgun start at 11:30.  A registration form and sponsorship information is available at our website.  Please contact Andrea Brady for more information.

The Young Builders Council will be hosting an HBAGC Member Appreciation picnic at Busse Woods this summer.  Mark your calendars now for June 27th -- more information will be available closer to the date.  All HBAGC members are invited to attend.
