HomeAid Cares - MorningStar Mission Moves In!

Volunteers needed!  Join us for our second HomeAid Cares Day at Morning Star Mission located at 364 E. Washington, Joliet.  MorningStar Mission is HomeAid's second project and our largest completed to date.  On June 8th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. we'll be helping to set up housekeeping - assembling and arranging furniture, cleaning, and polishing.  Bring your screwdrivers and wrenches!  More details and directions can be found at:
http://www.homeaidchicago.org/events/HomeAidCares-MorningStarMissionMoveIn!.aspx

This is an opportunity for those interested in volunteering for HomeAid projects to get involved in a "hands on" way.  For more information or to RSVP, contact Natalie Ashton, Executive Director/HomeAid Chicago at nashton@hbagc.com

1st Annual Independence Drive

The HBAGC Remodelers are hosting the first annual Independence Drive to help make a house a home for the HomeAid Chicago care providers. HomeAid Chicago is the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago's charity of choice. Please join together with your fellow HBAGC members and other local industry leaders in the fight against homelessness. We will be collecting donations from June 1st through July 2nd. Click here to link to a flyer listing the items needed.

Here's how you can help:

* Print out the flyer and distribute to friends, family and business associates

* Post the flyer on local bulletin boards (electronic or cork!) i.e. Village Hall, Public Libraries, your local Comcast events listing, grocery stores, your office.

* Donate! HBAGC is a membership almost 2000 strong! If each member made a contribution (cash or materials) valued at $25.00 or more, we would make a $50,000 impact on the homeless community in one month! Wow! When you put it in black and white it seems so simple!
