Building America’s Dream Outdoor Living Issue: The May issue of Building America's Dream will focus on trends in outdoor living (outdoor kitchens, etc.).  If you have an article you would like to submit for this issue, please do so to lhenning@hbagc.com by Monday, April 16th. Photos will be accepted at 300 dpi. 

HBAI Lobby Day is Wednesday, April 18th.  This one and only annual grassroots effort is an excellent opportunity for you to meet with your elected officials on issues facing the housing industry in the Illinois General Assembly.  This year’s hot topics include school impact fees, mandatory fire sprinklers, contractor licensure and more.  Lobby Day features legislative briefings by HBAI governmental affairs staff, a luncheon with featured state officials, office visits at the Illinois State House and an evening cocktail reception with your local Representative and Senator.  Lobby Day Lunch & Cocktail Reception is Free.  For more information, please visit www.hbai.org or contact Sue Molnar at HBAI, 800-255-6047, suemolnar@hbai.org

Attention Lake County Members: The April 18th Builder After Hours at Buschman Homes has been rescheduled to for May 2nd.  Please make a note of the change.

The Sales & Marketing Council will host "House Construction as a Selling Tool”, part of the MCSP designation, on April 17th and 18th at HBAGC.  Presented by Chuck Breidenstein, CAPS, CGB, CPC, National Speaker and HBI and SMC program presenter, Co-founder of the NAHB Housing Education Research Center at MSU and a builder for over 30 years.  This is a two day module - Required course for MCSP Designation, Elective class for CAPS, CMB.  Register online now for this event of for more information, click here to view the flyer.

The McHenry County Chapter will host its Builder After Hours on April 24th at Chicago Title Insurance Co., 4425 U.S. Rt. 14 in Crystal Lake.
