Membership Types

There are two types of membership - Builder Members and Associate Members. All companies must have a "Main" membership before "Affiliate" memberships can be purchased.

  • Builder Main Member - $575/year*
  • Builder Affiliate Member - $265/year
  • Associate Main Member - $730/year
  • Associate Affiliate Member - $365/year

(*plus the Attainable Housing Alliance Dues - $50 per home closed per year)

About us 

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago is comprised of five chapters which serve the members on a more local level. They include Lake County, McHenry County, North Central (North and Northwest Cook, North DuPage, and North Kane), City of Chicago, and Southwest (DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Will, and Grundy areas). These local chapters promote home ownership; protect the professional interest of members involved in the home building industry, and interface with the Attainable Housing Alliance in providing governmental and public relations services. The chapters provide educational programs and opportunities for networking and business interaction among members.

Three-in-one membership

When you become a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, you are also becoming a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) & the Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI). You get 3 memberships in 1!

For an additional fee, a member may elect to become a member of one of our specialized councils. The Association has six councils. They are: Custom Builders Council, Sales and Marketing Council, Production Builders Council, HBAGC Remodelers. Young Builders Council, and Multi Family Housing Council. These councils deal with special interests in matters of the member's industry.
