Highlights from HBAGC

A couple of weeks ago Peter Schwartz penned his last column for this e-newsletter.  We are grateful for the productive seven years of service Peter has given us.

Since Peter notified us of his resignation to take a position in New Jersey, our volunteer leadership has gathered a team to begin the search for a new Executive Officer. We are dedicated to taking the necessary time to fill this important position with an Executive Officer that will shepherd us through these challenging times and beyond. In the meantime several members of the volunteer leadership have met with the staff and concluded that in the interim, our staff will be operating as normal with the hands-on involvement of both Vice President Dan Ungerleider and President Alan Lev.  We are all committed to making this as easy a transition as possible.  If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact Alan Lev at (312) 751-2777 X116 or Dan Ungerleider at (847) 984-4424. We look at this as a tremendous opportunity to fine-tune HBAGC so it becomes even stronger.

We understand that our members have limited time and dollars this year and therefore will not be holding the Regional Golf Outing in July.  We encourage all of you to take advantage of our outings already on the calendar. YBC is the first outing of the year, and members must have their sponsorships in by April 30th to appear on this year’s t-shirt!  YBC will be held on May 20th at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club; click here for sponsor information or call Lisa Henning at (630) 627-7575 Ext. 206.

City of Chicago Chapter golf information is now available. Please click here or contact Andrea Brady at (630) 627-7575 Ext. 203 for more information.

ULI Chicago will be presenting rental markets, foreclosures and the credit crunch featuring guest speakers Nicolas P. Retsinas, Director, Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies and William C. Apgar, Senior Scholar, Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies on April 30th at Chase Auditorium in Chicago.  If you are interested, please call ULI Chicago at 773-549-4972.
