Mad Dog & Merrill, Chef Warren Spice Up Cooking Stage at HBAGC’s Midwest Home Expo
(ADDISON, IL ) – Grilling buddies Mad Dog & Merrill, and European and American-trained chef and chocolatier, Chef J. Warren, will spice up the Cooking Stage at the upcoming Midwest Home Expo™ April 29 – May 1 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. A consumer show, the Expo is open to the public.
Mad Dog & Merrill are expert grillers who tour the country turning grilling demonstrations into a comedic art form. They enthusiastically prepare mouth-watering recipes all on the grill in between salty quips and clever stunts and explain to their audiences, “if you can cook it, you can grill it.” The two have grilled together for more than 20 years and have authored a number of cookbooks including: The Grilling Buddies, We’ve Got Gas, and Forever Tailgating. On the other end of the spectrum is Chef J. Warren whose refined culinary skills also produce mouth-watering results. Proficient and creative with regional and international cuisine, his presentations at the Expo will focus on such topics as preparing gourmet meals in 30 minutes and the joys of chocolate. A member of the American Culinary Federation and the National Chef’s Society, he also has published cookbooks for both the public and professional chefs.
Much of the entertaining and masterful cooking will be demonstrated on the Cooking Stage with appliances specially provided for the Expo by sponsors. The Frigidaire Gallery Series cooktop to be used features a 36” smooth top ceramic cooking surface with flush-look beveled edge design in black; and the refrigerator will be an Electrolux ICON™ 36” side-by-side in stainless steel. The appliances will be provided by Parksite Appliance Solutions of Batavia. The cabinets on the Cooking Stage are provided by Charlestowne Kitchen & Bath of St. Charles and will be from the Cardell Cabinetry’s Odyssey Collection in the Wyndham Rustic Mocha series.
